Access via highway

  • FROM MONS
    • Take the highway exit 21A (Rest area Roeulx-Thieu)
    • Turn left onto Chaussée de Mons / N538
  • FROM BRUSSELS

    • Take the highway exit 21A (Rest area Roeulx-Thieu)
    • Turn left onto Chaussée de Mons / N538

Access coming from Mons by the “Bois d’Havré”

  • From Mons, take the Chaussée du Roeulx (N538) towards Havré.
  • Continue on the N538 and cross Havré to the “Canal du Centre”.

OR

  • On the Chaussée du Roeulx (N538) towards Havré
  • Turn left on R5a and E19 / E42 and take exit 21A (Rest area Roeulx-Thieu)
    (Attention, don’t take the exit Havré-Ghislage)
  • Turn left onto Chaussée de Mons / N538.

Parking

Rue du Trieu, Rue des Fours à Chaux , Rue de la Cense du Roi, Rue du Marais, Rue de l’Église – 7070 Ville-sur-Haine

 

Access to the Memorial site : pedestrians only

via Rue des Trieux and the towpath (along the boat channel).
Footbridge Price (red) closed.

  • The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm and will be finished at 5 pm. For security reasons, you are requested to arrive no later than 3 pm. After this time, access will no longer be guaranteed.
  • It is strictly prohibited to bring any backpacks, bags or large handbags.
